The RT-Race motorcycle boot is the protective, lightweight sports boot designed for maximum safety and optimal bike control. RT-Race incorporates Fasten Fit Control, an internal lacing system connected to the boot lining through a quick-slide lace, so that the upper can wrap around the foot as much as possible and the fit can be personalized right down to the millimeter.
The boot fastening system features an aluminum lever with micrometric adjustment and quick release, designed so that the shaft can adapt perfectly to various calf shapes, and a side zipper with stretch panel. TCX RT-Race motorcycle boots are equipped with the anti-twist Double Flex Control system, a polyurethane joint in the ankle area able to control movement down to the millimeter, offering ideal joint support and flexibility, to prevent dangerous twisting and the risk of injury.
The upper is made of highly wear-resistant microfiber. The inner lining is made of breathable AIR TECH mesh fabric and has padding with different thicknesses in the ankle area to offer maximum comfort. There are interchangeable polyurethane sliders on the toe and heel to aid sliding when in contact with the asphalt. Additional reinforcements protect the most exposed areas, such as the shin, ankle, toe, and heel.
Ortholite Footbed
OrthoLite® insoles were developed to ensure optimal comfort and maximum support for the sole of the foot, combined with maximum breathability in all conditions. OrthoLite® insoles offer:
- Long-lasting cushioning due to OrthoLite® polyurethane foam, which provides consistent cushioning, fit, and comfort. Less than 5% of its thickness is compressed over the lifecycle of the insole, so its properties never change.
- High breathability for perfect thermal comfort, thanks to the OrthoLite® open-cell foam that allows air to circulate in and around the insole, driving moisture away and keeping the foot cool and dry.
F.F.C. Fasten Fit Control
The special Fasten Fit Control (F.F.C.) fastening system allows the fit of the TCX boot to be customized with pinpoint accuracy. The internal fastening system features long-lasting laces joined to the boot's lining and a newly designed padded tongue for enhanced comfort. The system ensures that the upper wraps around the foot, providing the most precise fit and maximum feel while riding.
D.F.C. Double Flex Control Racing
The Double Flex Control (D.F.C.) system is a unique ankle structure that offers the perfect balance between freedom of movement and joint support, preventing unwanted bending and twisting. It features a polyurethane (PU) structure attached to the boot with hidden screws on the heel buttress, allowing for controlled flexibility to the front and rear, limiting hyperextension and hyperflexion of the ankle joint.
The D.F.C. system also provides a thin and contoured frame for a flat inner surface, enhancing grip on the bike and preventing the boot from catching. In the event of a collision, the heel buttress absorbs impact energy, and the rear and side sliders help aid natural sliding during a fall.
