Reinforced inserts on toe and heel guarantee excellent impact protection while D30® inserts on the shin ensure high levels of comfort and freedom of movement. Stability and riding sensitivity are provided by the Groundtrax® sole for excellent grip on the footpegs, even on rainy days. Walking comfort is guaranteed by the special Zplate® insert, which combines longitudinal flexibility following the foot’s natural movements with transverse rigidity, for maximum safety if the shoe gets crushed. The integrated Ortholite® insole provides breathability and durable cushioning for additional comfort.
ZPLATEZPLATE®, an exclusive TCX design, is a special insert applied to the midsole of motorcycle footwear, perfectly combining safety and freedom of movement. TCX footwear with ZPLATE® in the midsole guarantees impact protection due to its transverse rigidity which provides maximum safety in the event of crushing and longitudinal flexibility to follow all the foot’s natural movements – even when walking.
ORTHOLITE FOOTBEDOrthoLite® insoles were developed to ensure optimal comfort and maximum support for the sole of the foot, combined with maximum breathability in all conditions. OrthoLite® insoles offer long-lasting cushioning and less than 5% of its thickness is compressed over the lifecycle of the insole, so its properties never change. OrthoLite® insoles offer high breathability for perfect thermal comfort, thanks to the OrthoLite® open-cell foam that allows air to circulate in and around the insole, driving moisture away and keeping the foot cool and dry.
D3O®Protective D3O® inserts, which feature in the construction of TCX's urban motorcycle shoes, offer an ideal balance of safety, comfort and ergonomics. D3O® is a patented soft and flexible material designed to stiffen on impact. In its raw form, D3O® molecules flow freely, due to their non-Newtonian nature, which allows the material to be soft and flexible. Upon impact, D3O® molecules merge together and absorb and dissipate the energy from the impact, significantly reducing the force transmitted to the body compared to standard materials. The protection it offers is, therefore, both optimal and imperceptible and is combined with maximum comfort and freedom when walking.
