The Ari Airplugger is a tubeless-tyre repair tool. The compact, corrosion resistant, anodized-aluminium case holds the auger-type puncture-hole cleaning bit, the plug-insertion needle and includes 5 plug strips. The screw apart case becomes the handle for the hole-cleaning bit and the plug-insertion needle The Airplugger doesn’t come with CO2 cartridges to reinflate the tyre.
The Ari Airplugger is used like many tyre-plug kits—with an auger-like tool to clear debris from the puncture hole in the tyre and another to insert the tireplug strip into the tyre. Part of the plug is left inside the tyre and some excess is left outside, then trimmed leaving about a quarter-inch of the strip ends outside the tyre. As with other kits, you use your own pliers or screwdriver to remove nails or screws still stuck in the tyre.
On the Airplugger, every part is much more sturdy and well-designed than on other kits . The two pieces of the case screw together to become a large, easy-to-grip T-handle with a knurled surface for the puncture-hole cleaning bit or the plug-insertion needle. The precisely shaped parts lock the bits into the handle so you can comfortably use all the force you need to clear the puncture and install the plug strip.
The Airplugger’s secure, comfortable T-handle grip makes clearing the puncture and properly installing the plug strip much easier than tools with small plastic handles. It’s also more compact than most plug kits once it’s disassembled and packed up.
